Alex Howard
Coach, Prospex Softball
Alex Howard is a dedicated coach with Prospex Softball and a former standout player within the organization. She spent seven years developing her game in the Prospex program, gaining firsthand experience in the culture, expectations, and competitive standards that define Prospex.
During her playing career, Howard was a key contributor on multiple high-level teams, including two squads that achieved Top 10 national rankings. As a middle infielder, she was known for her great hands defensively, a power bat at the plate, and a team-first mentality that set the tone for those around her. Howard continued her career at Jacksonville State University, where she competed at the collegiate level and further developed her skills and understanding of the game.
Now as a coach, she brings a well-rounded, player-first approach to development. She specializes in hitting and infield play, while also emphasizing the mental side of the game—helping athletes build confidence, composure, and resilience. Having come through the Prospex system herself, Howard connects naturally with players and serves as a relatable mentor who understands both the challenges and opportunities they face.
Her passion for teaching, strong communication skills, and ability to build trust make her a valuable part of the Prospex Softball coaching staff.
